The rest day at Chitimba Beach concluded with the end of “Moustache March” and the awards ceremony for the best moustache grown during the month. With the prospect of being on the road for four months and bush camping for a lot of that time, several gentlemen in the group have decided not to shave for the duration of the trip. This motley crew, lead by Cory, is known collectively as “The Prophets”. It has to be said that some of the aforesaid mentioned prophets do actual suit wearing a beard, whereas others look as though they should be sleeping rough on a park bench covered in newspapers. The prophets were judging the Moustache contest and the winner, with his best Ozzy Osbourne moustache impression, was Duncan. Following the conclusion of Moustache March the razors were out and around six men suddenly became better looking overnight.
