Almost forgot to mention: the evening we arrived into Moyale, the Kenyan border crossing, several people decided to leave the Tour to do side trips and rejoin later in either Nairobi or Arusha. Paul disappeared off to see the gorillas in Burundi (hopefully he didn't talk their ears off) and Sam disappeared off to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Kind-hearted considerate little soul that he is, Sammy offered me his shocks to use while he was going to be away. More work for Todd, switching out the rigid for the suspension plus re-cabling the front brakes to take Sams disc-brake front wheel. This was a huge help to me, as it meant I was able to cycle through most of Northern Kenya, one of the longest and crappiest stretches of off-road during the whole trip (I told you I was slightly mad). Sammy, I'm eternally grateful - sorry I managed to puncture your puncture-proof tubeless tire along the way.
