Couldn't sign off without mentioning the armed guards standing directly next to the section of the desert most convenient for going on the potty in relative privacy. They don't even look away (not sure whether it is the same for the guys as it is for the ladies) - a couple of times I had to twirl my index finger around in a circe to get the message across that he should face the other way and not keep turning round to get an eyeful. Tempting though it was to use a different finger on my hand to communicate with him, I refrained, thus averting another potential international incident.
