Welcome to Judy Rigby's Tour d'Afrique website.

On Saturday 14th January 2006 I will be starting a 7000 mile bike ride from Cairo to Capetown.

Why? 

Because it's there.

The Bike

Ladies Stumpjumper hardtail, bought specifically for the trip. My trusty tourer, at 12 years old, would never have forgiven me had I subjected it to this trip.  And I would never have forgiven my trusty steed for not having front shocks when I needed them...

Special thanks to Terry Dye at Leisure-Lakes Bikes in Bury for all his help in getting the bike ready.  I only wish I were as ready as the bike is.....
